I read somewhere that there are about 20 million blogs available on the Internet. And no doubt the number is rising.
It’s rising by one right now. This is the first post in the Web Costa Blanca blog, written by the site’s webmaster, Michael Scannell.
The aims of the blog can be found formally stated on the page About this Blog.
Here I just want to stress that I hope visitors will find the blog fun—or at least readable—and useful. I also hope that every visitor will feel free to add their own comments.
I also want to stress that the blog will be the home for quick tips rather than formal tutorials, and for provocative asides rather than in-depth analysis. When I have a bit of sustained writing to offer visitors, I will publish it on the main Web Costa Blanca site, in the form of an article or a tutorial.
I have already published three of these:
- The Secret of Web Site Success—a long article on search engine optimisation;
- Small Business Heaven—an article on why every business should have a Web site;
- Click to activate and use this control box—a tutorial on how to get around a modern Flash annoyance.
So if you feel you haven’t yet found anything useful in this blog, read one of them!
